That’s right! The University of Calgary Dinos swept the 11th annual Crowchild Classic, held at the Scotiabank Saddledome, with a record-breaking crowd of 13,118 fans in attendance. The Dinos won both the women’s and men’s games in dramatic fashion1.
In the women’s game, the Dinos secured a 2-1 victory in a shootout after a thrilling 60-minute match that ended in a tie. Amelia Awad, the Dinos’ goalie, made an impressive 34 saves out of 35 shots on goal1. Sydney Mercier scored the decisive goal in the shootout.
