Acting City Manager Craig Walbaum thanked emergency crews and city staff for their tireless efforts, emphasizing that public safety remains the City’s highest priority.

- Asked residents to report storm damage through 311.
River Valley and Public Safety
Some River Valley trails remain closed due to earlier weather events.
Officials continue to warn residents to:
- Stay away from fast-moving water.
- Keep pets on leashes near rivers and stormwater ponds.
- Avoid closed boat launches along the North Saskatchewan River.
Extended Eco Station Hours
To help residents dispose of storm debris, the City is extending operating hours from July 14 to July 28.
Eco Stations
- Open daily: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Edmonton Waste Management Centre
- Weekdays: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Weekends: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Residents can also drop off storm-related tree branches at designated Community Recycling Depots during the same period.
Gravel Roads
City officials say saturated gravel roads remain vulnerable to damage. Road grading will begin only after roads have dried sufficiently to prevent further deterioration.
