City of Edmonton Seeks Public Input on Idylwylde Rezoning and Vehicles for Hire
Edmonton, September 14, 2026: The City of Edmonton is inviting residents to provide feedback on projects, policies and initiatives aimed at shaping neighbourhoods, improving government services and preparing the city for the future.
Idylwylde Rezoning Proposal
The City is seeking public feedback on a rezoning application for 7907 86 Avenue NW in the Idylwylde neighbourhood.
The application proposes changing the current zoning from Small Scale Residential to Medium Scale Residential to allow a multi-unit residential development of approximately four storeys. The proposal could also include commercial units on the ground floor.
Residents can provide their feedback on the proposed rezoning from September 14 to September 27, 2026.
Public Survey on Taxis, Uber and Lyft
The City is also seeking residents’ views on Vehicles for Hire, including taxis, shuttles, Lyft and Uber.
People who use these services, work in the industry or simply have an opinion are encouraged to participate in the online survey. The deadline to submit feedback is September 25, 2026.
