| June 15, 2026The City of Edmonton invites residents’ input into projects, policies and initiatives that grow communities, establish government services and prepare the city for the future. Below are current opportunities for Edmontonians to shape the city. Changing neighbourhoods to meet changing needs:Vision Zero Street Labs. Brintnell, Crystallina Nera West, Ogilvie Ridge and Hodgson, Sakaw and York neighbourhoods have been selected for Vision Zero Street Labs. This program is designed to address traffic safety concerns at the neighbourhood level by installing traffic calming measures. The City would like to learn about the lived experiences and traffic safety concerns of Edmontonians walking, biking, rolling or driving in these neighbourhoods. Visit edmonton.ca/StreetLabs and scroll to “Neighbourhoods with Active Engagement” to access the engagement opportunity for your neighbourhood until June 17.Defining what Edmonton will look like in the future:Hawks Ridge Community Park. The City seeks public feedback on the draft design for a new school park in the Hawks Ridge neighbourhood. The park will support programming for a new Edmonton Public School Division kindergarten-to-Grade 6 school and is intended for both student and community use. An online survey will be available until June 30. To learn more about the project and complete the survey, visit edmonton.ca/CommunityParkDevelopment.Bus Rapid Transit. The City is looking for feedback on Bus Rapid Transit routes in the University of Alberta area, from 109 street to University Transit Centre, and 82 Avenue area, from 109 street to 83 street. Anyone who lives, works or plays in these areas, or has an interest in transit projects, is encouraged to view the routes and participate in the survey by June 24 at edmonton.ca/BusRapidTransit.Westmount. The City seeks feedback on an application to rezone a portion of 11038 126 Street NW from the current Westmount Architectural Heritage Area Direct Control Zone (DC1.18934) to the proposed Medium Scale Residential Zone (RM h16). The rezoning would allow for a maximum height of 16 metres, or about four storeys, with limited community and commercial use opportunities at the ground level. To allow the rezoning, the site must be removed from the DC1.18934, which requires administrative updates to the existing zone. No further changes are proposed to DC1.18934. Residents can provide feedback until June 28 at engaged.edmonton.ca/WestmountRezoning.Enhancing local economic development:Downtown Policy Update online survey. The City is looking for feedback on the Downtown Policy update, which will support greater downtown livability, housing choice, population stability, economic activity and public realm investment in our city’s core. Anyone who lives, works or plays downtown is encouraged to participate before June 21 at edmonton.ca/DowntownPolicy.Edmonton’s Business Census – painting a clearer picture of Edmonton’s economy.
