Edmonton’s Newest Fire Station Opens Doors to the Public This Summer

Edmonton, June 16, 2026 – Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) is inviting residents to get a closer look at the city’s newest fire station during a series of community open houses taking place throughout the summer.

The first event will be held on Saturday, June 20, at Blatchford Fire Station 8, located at 8603 Flying Club Road NW, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will give residents the opportunity to meet firefighters and fire prevention officers, tour the station, explore fire trucks and emergency equipment, and learn valuable fire safety tips.

EFRS says the open houses are designed to strengthen community connections while educating residents about fire prevention and emergency response services.

🚒 August 8 – Highlands Station 7, 5025 118 Ave. NW
🚒 August 22 – Pilot Sound Station 30, 15850 50 St. NW
🚒 August 29 – Kaskitayo Station 20, 2303 105 St. NW

All open house events will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

City officials encourage families, children, and community members to attend and learn more about the firefighters who help keep Edmonton safe.
