Edmonton, July 15, 2026 — The World Triathlon Cup is set to return to Edmonton from July 16 to 19, bringing world-class competition back to the newly revitalized William Hawrelak Park.
Elite triathletes from around the globe will compete in the Sprint Triathlon and Mixed Relay events, with Canadian Olympian Tyler Mislawchuk among the featured athletes. More than 900 participants, ranging from amateur competitors to elite professionals, are expected to take part in the four-day event, showcasing their skills in swimming, cycling, and running.
In addition to the elite races, the event will include several competitions for amateur triathletes, including an age-group qualification race for the 2027 World Triathlon Multisport Championships, which Edmonton will host next summer.
Spectators are encouraged to visit William Hawrelak Park throughout the weekend to enjoy exciting races, a family-friendly festival atmosphere, and a variety of community activities.
